SPILL FESTIVAL
From Wed 27 – Sun 31 Oct 2021 CAMEYE produced and directed SPILL TV. Our brief was to create short films that interweave art documentation and documentary. We have been embodying and creating SPILL TV since 2011.
Docs Events Short FilmALBESILA LUMINARIUM by Architects of Air:
A strange, inflatable structure appeared on Ipswich Waterfront during SPILL 2021, ready for audiences to explore…
A luminarium is a sculpture people enter to be moved to a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour.
Through labyrinthine tunnels and cavernous domes, visitors move in a medium of saturated and subtle hues. Vivid reflections of liquid colour spill across the curved walls creating a world apart from the normal and everyday.
Albesila Luminarium takes its inspiration from Eggopolis, the luminarium that launched Architects of Air in 1992. It is a maze of 27 egg-shaped domes – some featuring Islamic ceiling patterns and some creating the trunk of a monumental tree.
Client testimonial
Ana stands apart from many of her peers by virtue of how much she genuinely cares about the artworks, about the artists, and about making sure that the festival experience is represented meaningfully in equal measure. I honestly cannot think of anyone I would rather work with in this capacity. In an always moving, fast paced and high energy environment, Ana and her team at CAMEYE always bring the very best work I could hope for.
